Troubleshooting common issues

Fixes for the most common setup issues like missing drafts, learning loop not updating, and import problems.

Corty isn’t creating drafts for incoming emails

  1. Check that the email isn’t being skipped on purpose - newsletters, no-reply senders, invoices and calendar invites are filtered out. See your workspace skip rules.
  2. Verify your Make.com scenario ran (check its execution history) and that the workspace_id and workspace_user_id in the request match your workspace.
  3. Check your credit balance - at 0 credits, draft generation pauses.
  4. Make sure AI isn’t paused for that workspace (workspace Settings).

The learning loop isn’t updating (drafts stay “Pending”)

  1. Confirm the sent email actually included the BCC address returned by the API - this is how Corty links the sent version back to the draft.
  2. Check that your Make.com scenario passes the bcc_address field into the draft it creates.
  3. Note: each feedback address works once - forwarding an old email again won’t re-trigger learning.

Smartlead import shows no campaigns

  1. Verify the API key is correct (Smartlead -> Settings -> API) and reconnect.
  2. Trial accounts: max 2 campaigns can be imported.
  3. Use the Sync button in Settings -> Connections to force a refresh.

A team member’s acceptance rate shows a dash

That’s expected: personal acceptance rates need at least 3 reviewed drafts before they display. Automated senders (newsletters, no-reply) are excluded from personal rates.
