Connecting Instantly

Add your Instantly API key, choose workspaces and assign campaigns to clients. Sending, forwards and attachments included.

  1. In Instantly, create an API key.
  2. In SalesLobe, go to Settings → Connections and add an Instantly account. Paste the key. It’s stored encrypted.
  3. SalesLobe finds the workspaces that key can reach (an agency key also reaches its sub workspaces) and sets up a webhook per workspace. On Instantly plans without webhooks it polls instead.
  4. Choose which workspaces to follow and assign campaigns to clients.

What works with Instantly

  • Replies go out through Instantly from the account that ran the campaign, in the same thread. Follow-ups too.
  • Forward a reply to a colleague or your client.
  • Attachments go as a secure download link, because Instantly’s API doesn’t take attachments. The link is valid for up to 30 days and you can revoke it. If the send fails, the link is revoked automatically.
  • Unibox “Others”: replies that land outside a campaign are picked up and matched to the right client. You can switch this off per mailbox.
  • Several Instantly accounts, next to Smartlead if you use both.

Missed-reply sync runs every 15 minutes on Starter and Trial, 5 on Pro, 2 on Agency and every minute on Custom.
